The Daily Spirit — Strategy
Last Updated: January 5, 2026
Mission
Become the Christofuturist voice that offers substance where others offer shrimp Jesus. Daily exhortations for Christians doing increasingly more of what God wants them to do.
Vision: Voice of the Kingdom
A media network across YouTube, podcast, Substack, and beyond. The Daily Spirit becomes the go-to source for Christians who want practical spiritual encouragement grounded in truth, not hype.
Long-term: The Daily Spirit evolves into a platform for the broader Christian community — a rotating cast of inspiring Christian voices. The meta message is Metagelical: transcending denominations (Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Charismatic). The format itself carries the message of unity across the body of Christ.
The Format
Daily voice-note exhortations providing biblical encouragement for the spiritual battles people face. Short, punchy, actionable.
- Length: 5 minutes (up to 15 min for reels if needed)
- Tone: Encouraging but honest. Not preachy.
- Focus: Practical application of faith to daily life
- Cadence: 6 days per week (rest on Sunday)
Episode Categories
- Gary's perspective — Personal exhortations
- Historical stories — Rockefeller, etc.
- Guest contributions — Known Christians sharing encouragement (future)
- Miracle stories — Testimonies of God's work

- Episodes scheduled 2 days ahead of posting for flexibility
January 2026: Process Over Metrics
"For January, let's not think about the numbers. That much. Or at all. In the beginning."
January Philosophy
What Matters:
- Getting comfortable with the posting cadence
- Fixing any posting issues (e.g., Spotify autopost verification)
- Making it a habit — consistency over perfection
- Internal testing — does it feel good to us and close friends?
What Doesn't Matter:
- View counts
- Subscriber growth
- Algorithm performance
- External validation
The Reminder
"You're not doing this for worldly reasons. You're doing this because it's useful to people. And you're doing this for God."
February 2026 & Beyond
February Goals
- Start looking at metrics across platforms
- Optimize platform-by-platform (YouTube first)
- Get consistent branding that looks professional (potentially hire a designer)
- Begin conversations with people who can help:
- Justin — YouTube & Facebook advice
- Dawson — Podcast/Spotify
Future Initiatives
- Review metrics and optimize
- Consider professional branding/design
- Reach out to potential guest contributors
- Explore short-form content (tabled for now — requires format rethink)
Collaboration Strategy (Long-Term)
- Start with people Gary knows (Dawson, Travis, etc.)
- Eventually reach out to Christian influencers and leaders
- Guests record high-quality audio and send to Gary
- Forces Gary to expand his network of ambitious Christians
"If I don't have anyone that wants to give a word of encouragement that I think is interesting and ambitious, I need to improve my network."
Weekly Non-Negotiable
Post The Daily Spirit 6 days per week. Rest on Sunday.
This is the heartbeat. Even if it's short. Even if it's imperfect. Consistency builds audience and discipline. Sunday is Sabbath.
Content Themes
- Overcoming fear through faith
- Practical obedience in daily life
- Christofuturist vision for technology and culture
- Spiritual warfare and discernment
- Building kingdom businesses and families
- Gratitude and presence
Tim Dort-Golts Weekly Review Questions
- Did you post The Daily Spirit 6 days this week?
- Is the workflow running smoothly?
- Are episodes going out on all platforms?
- Is the 2-day buffer maintained?
Success Metrics
- Daily: Episode posted (yes/no, Mon-Sat)
- Weekly: 6/6 days posted, buffer maintained
- Monthly: Total episodes, audience growth rate, notable feedback
- January-specific: Process and feel of episodes, not engagement numbers
The Why
"I need to hear my voice say that. And according to Apostle, it's not enough just to even read it or think it, it's important to say it."
"When you exhort other people, you feel great."
This is ministry through media. Every episode is a chance to encourage someone in their walk with Christ. The platform grows the audience for all other kingdom work.
