Episode 00013: You Are In Good Hands

December 17, 2025

Greeting

Welcome back to The Daily Spirit. Wednesday, December 17th, 2025. Five minutes of spirit-filled encouragement to start your day.

Opening Hook

Have you been laid off recently? Lost a job? Watched a business relationship fall apart?

Maybe you're not sure where the road is headed. Maybe you're in that wilderness. That in-between season where it's hard to feel hopeful about what comes next.

I want you to know something. You are loved. You are so loved. And God is good—even as doors close.

Scripture & Core Message

Isaiah 43:18-19: "Forget about what's happened; don't keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I'm about to do something brand-new. It's bursting out! Don't you see it?"

When one door closes, another opens. That's not just a cliché. That's how God operates. He's doing something new. Right now. Even if you can't see it yet.

The Story

This year, I built a close relationship with a woman I consider a spiritual mom. Earlier in the year, she went through a really hard season. A business partnership fell apart in a pretty disastrous way. Things went sideways. It was messy. And she was left wondering—God, what are you doing? What is this about?

She was truly not sure what was next. And when you're down like that, when the path forward isn't obvious, the devil has an opportunity. He seizes on your fears. He whispers that you won't make it. That you won't recover. That you'll be stuck in this wilderness forever.

Those are lies. The devil is a liar.

Fast forward to now? She's doing better than ever. She feels closer to God than she's been in a long time. She's being connected to the right opportunities. The right people. Doors are opening that wouldn't have opened if she was still trying to force a failing business relationship.

What felt like a curse in the moment was actually a blessing.

Exhortation

Here's what I want you to hear today.

If you've been laid off. If a partnership fell apart. If you're in between things and you don't know what's next—your best days are ahead. It may not be easy to see that right now. But it's true.

That job you lost? It taught you lessons. It connected you with people who matter for this next stage of your life. That experience wasn't wasted.

As I said yesterday, you can only connect the dots looking backward. You're in the middle of a dot right now. Trust that God is placing it with intention.

Don't let the enemy steal your hope. Don't let fear convince you that you're abandoned. You are in good hands. The hands of the Lord.

Affirmations

Let's speak some truth over your transition. I'll say it, you repeat.

[Pause after each for repetition]

I am in good hands.

When one door closes, another opens.

God is doing something new in my life.

My best days are ahead.

The devil is a liar. I do not listen to him.

I will bounce back.

Closing

That's it for today.

If this resonates with you, or if you know someone who needs to hear this—share it. Forward it. Let them know they're not alone.

God is with you. Talk tomorrow.
