Dear Mom,

Happy Mother's Day! We wrote this letter as a testament to the extraordinary woman you are, the sacrifices you've made, and the love that has shaped us into who we are today.

You saw us when others didn't. You believed in us when others couldn't. Your devotion has been unwavering since before we gained consciousness. Every action, every decision, every moment of your life has been a reflection of your love for our family.

Is that why you always ensure our home is filled with fresh, organic fruits? Why you're constantly vigilant about our health, from the food we eat to protecting us from the sun's rays? Why you've created a sanctuary where our well-being is always the priority?

Mom, we've been reflecting deeply, especially now as you and Dad are in China, about the incredible journey you've taken. You left behind everything familiar, everything comfortable, to venture into the unknown. You became an alien in a foreign land, learning a new language through soap operas, navigating complex political and social landscapes, all while maintaining your grace and dignity.

You weathered the storm of the .com boom and bust with remarkable strength. Through layoffs and downsizings, you never let your struggles affect us. Your resilience in the face of adversity has been nothing short of extraordinary.

If we can embody even an ounce of your character when we become parents, we will consider ourselves truly blessed. Your example of unconditional love, sacrifice, and unwavering support has been our guiding light.

Our friends and colleagues know us for our ability to love and care for others, and for our determination, but they don't know that we learned this from you. Every act of kindness, every moment of compassion, every instance of putting others before ourselves - these are all reflections of the lessons you've taught us through your actions. You've shown us the courage to speak up when someone isn't right for us, whether it's a friend or partner, teaching us that true love means protecting those we care about, even when it's difficult.
