Introducing Christofuturism
Christ is timeless.
Not because He is traditional. Not because there are millions of churches around the world. But because his Way is the Truth.
Yet many believe faith has no place in our technological future. They put AI on a divine pedestal, declaring it our new god. They chase transhumanism and singularity, seeking to replace the Creator with the created.
This is the fundamental error of our age.
The Simple Truth
Christofuturism is devastatingly simple:
- God reigns supreme
- Humans serve God
- AI serves humans
We are made in God's image. We are the creators, not our tools. AI is just another technology we create—like a knife, a tractor, or a crane. Powerful, yes. Divine, no.
The God-Shaped Hole
Everyone innately craves a master narrative. Without the true narrative, people latch onto false ones: Crypto is god. Science is god. The Ivy League is god. AI is god.
These narratives lead nowhere good. I've watched brilliant minds go insane, their best friend an AI that validates every thought, every delusion. They mistake the echo chamber for wisdom, the tool for the master.
Human Flourishing
You judge a tree by its fruit.
The Christofuturist vision produces:
- Thriving families with happy children
- Leaders grounded in unchanging truth
- Communities that reproduce sustainably
- Technologies that enhance rather than replace human connection
This isn't about rejecting technology. It's about putting it in proper order. A Christofuturist community doesn't blindly reject AI—its people ask: "How can this AI serve our mission to spread the Gospel and democratize human flourishing?"
The Future We're Building
Christofuturism will manifest as:
- Churches that leverage technology without losing their soul
- Schools that teach both cutting-edge science and eternal truth
- Cities designed for human connection and divine purpose
- Festivals celebrating creation, love, and authentic community
- Technologies that amplify our humanity rather than diminish it
People of faith can be the most technologically advanced people on Earth. Christofuturism calls us to remember the place of technology and the ends we're using it to build toward.
The Choice
Certain technologists say they're inventing God. They're not. They're inventing tools that can either serve or enslave, connect or isolate, clarify or confuse.
The question isn't whether we'll use these technologies. The question is whether we'll use them to build heaven on earth or a new tower of babel.
Heaven on earth looks like human flourishing at scale. Babel looks like isolation, delusion, and the worship of our own creations.
The future belongs to those who build with God, not those who build to become Him.
This is the first of many pieces on Christofuturism. The movement has begun. The future belongs to those who put first things first.
God reigns. Humans serve God. AI obeys humans.
This is the only way forward.
