It Is Satanic To Weaponize Biblical Language To Justify War
Date: 2025-06-22
I've been praying about the US attack on Iran.
And the concept that occupies my mind right now is that of "moral opportunism."
For those who ostensibly follow Christ, moral opportunism means weaponizing the language of faith to serve your will rather than God's will.
When generals, presidents, and drone operators impose their earthly will (over God's Will) while claiming divine justification, they commit this sin. Hitler had reasons for all of his actions. Every bombing campaign can claim moral justifications.
When you exercise moral opportunism to justify an unjust war, you should be treated as channeling nothing less than Satan.
I don’t know if Trump is being morally opportunistic with his decision to attack Iran. I don't know what Trump should do about the Israel-Iran conflict in general. Maybe it was right to bomb the nuclear sites yesterday. Maybe not. I don't know. But God does.
And God is willing to tell every leader what to do. The question: are they truly listening to Him or are they co-opting biblical language to manufacture consent?
There's a special place in hell for people who rebel against God's Will to, say, increase their company's market cap.
What is the alternative to moral opportunism? Moral wisdom. A spiritual muscle that grows through serious prayer before making any meaningful decision, especially when lives hang in the balance.
God has gifted us with the capacity to grow and exercise moral wisdom. Leaders who truly fear God—not political consequences or assassination attempts—can make decisions based on this wisdom.
For those in power:
- Are you seeking what God wants or what serves your earthly interests?
- Are you using religious language to justify predetermined actions?
- Do you fear God's judgment more than political consequences?
- Do you fear death?
Trump concluded his address justifying the Iran strikes by saying, "God bless the Middle East, God bless Israel, and God bless America," and "I want to just say we love you, God, and we love our great military."
I don't know if this was moral opportunism or genuine divine guidance. But Trump knows—if he prays on it.
Trump is surrounded by people who claim to be led by God
His Faith Office Director, Pastor Paula White, has an office right next to the Oval Office. I felt a pureness in her spirit when I met her a few weeks ago. I pray Paula can guide him to distinguish between true divine guidance and religious language that serves earthly purposes.
May she inspire Trump to channel God's Will—not his own self interest, political factions, or darker spiritual entities.
