Dear Cartesia Team,
I'm applying for the Founding Product Marketer role because the Cartesia 3 release captivated me. The quality, the speed, the state space model architecture is the kind of technology that makes me want to help people understand what you're building and what's possible with it.
I'm passionate about audio AI, and this role perfectly weaves together all my experiences at early-stage startups. I think I could add real value as someone who can tell compelling stories about complex products.
I spent four years as a software engineer at Google Cloud, leading a small team. Since then, I've worked with early-stage startups on storytelling, community building, and helping technical founders communicate what they're building in ways that resonate. I know how to translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives that developers and enterprises can understand.
Why I'm a Fit
Overall, I have a proven track record of identifying transformative projects early and building genuine excitement around them. I've consistently turned niche concepts into thriving communities across diverse domains:
I'm a Proven 0→1 Community Builder
- Pop-up cities: Contributed to Zuzalu and created Edge City Denver 2024—a seven-day developer event with 3,000+ attendees and 4.6/5 average satisfaction. I designed the programming, recruited speakers, created the messaging, and built the buzz that made it successful.
- Airchat: Brought in hundreds of early users into Naval Ravikant's voice-first social network (that has since shut down)
- Web3 ecosystem: Secured support from Ethereum Foundation, Coinbase, and Celo to train youth in web3, grew Gitcoin Passport user base substantially through ecosystem marketing (200,000 to 1M users)
- AI and education: Orchestrated complex stakeholder events building excitement in Austin's tech scene
- Tropical house music: Built a popular brand on SoundCloud (110,000 subscribers) and booked breakthrough artists like Dom Dolla for his first US show
- Democracy reform: Built a youth nonprofit that trained thousands globally (years before Andrew Yang made democracy reform his focus)
- Police brutality awareness: Grew an activist Facebook page to 800,000 followers
The pattern is clear: I identify transformative projects early, understand how to craft the narrative, and know how to build genuine excitement that drives adoption. I can do it again with Cartesia.
I Bring Technical Fluency + Storytelling
I write code. I recently graduated top of my class at Gauntlet AI, an AI-first coding bootcamp. I understand technical products deeply, which means I can translate complex features into clear value propositions without losing the nuance that makes them special.
I'm good at copywriting and storytelling. I've created tons of technical content, case studies, and messaging for developer-facing products. I know how to make technical concepts accessible while keeping developers engaged.

I'm Built for Early-Stage Chaos
I have a scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset. I'm comfortable in unstructured, fast-moving environments. I know that at an early-stage startup, everyone wears multiple hats, and I'm ready to support wherever needed beyond just product marketing.
I've worked cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams. I know how to cultivate feedback loops with customers and use them to shape roadmap and messaging. Learn more here.
I'm data-driven when it matters. I understand the importance of tracking KPIs like adoption, engagement, and campaign ROI to guide strategy and iterate quickly.
The Ask
I care about the opportunity to build product marketing from scratch at one of the most exciting companies in AI. I'm confident I can deliver meaningful impact quickly because I understand the technical side, I know how to tell compelling stories, and I thrive in early-stage environments.
I'm looking for a founding team that values someone who can translate technical innovation into clear narratives, drive adoption through creative campaigns, and wear whatever hat is needed to help the company succeed. I think that's me.
I appreciate your consideration and the opportunity to share why I believe I'd be a great addition to the Cartesia team.
