Event Concept: Applied AI Live at Capital Factory

Overview​

A live event featuring Travis Oliphant, with a real-time agent architecture session for a business owner. Part interview, part hands-on workshop.

Venue & Timing​

  • Location: Capital Factory (Tim Joo can help set up)
  • Timing: Before Christmas (Rostam is in town until then)
  • Duration: ~2 hours

Format​

Part 1: Interview with Travis (30 min)​

Gary interviews Travis about what he's building in the Applied AI space. Even though it's early days, focus on the vision and why Applied AI matters now.

Part 2: Live Agent Architecture Session (60 min)​

Rostam leads a live architecting session with a "guinea pig" business owner:

  • Identify a real operational problem
  • Architect an agent solution on the spot
  • Walk through tool selection and stack decisions
  • Audience sees the thinking process in real time

Backup plan: Have one confirmed business owner ready, but could also pick someone on the fly from attendees.

Part 3: Q&A on Agent Stack (30 min)​

Rostam answers questions about his favorite agent tools, architecture patterns, and stack recommendations.
