Message to Brenda - Prenda Call Update

Anyway, good update!

Since we were having those conversations this past week about helping your sister-in-law and Dr. Katherine Williams start a school for kids in Liberty, I wanted to share this.

Just got off a call with Prenda (microschool platform) and it was pretty inspiring.

Key things that stood out:

• Church-based microschools are exploding in Florida right now - churches using their facilities during the week for education
• Texas is about to follow the same pattern with TIFA scholarships (~$10K per student)
• The Prenda reps said "as soon as Texas opened, the first thing we said was these churches have a huge opportunity"
• One of them (Brittany) is a Christian mom with multiple kids, and she used to work with Texas churches on finding income streams

What's interesting for Liberty:

• Prenda provides a turnkey system - AI tutoring, curriculum, invoicing all handled
• Guides don't need teaching credentials, just need to be caring adults passionate about education
• Churches can incorporate faith elements freely (Bible study, prayer, Christian music)
• The ~$10K scholarship per student from TEFA could fund the whole operation

All this is useful info for Dr. Katherine or anyone at Encounter Church thinking about starting something for the kids in that community.

I got such good vibes from this call that I may even explore joining the Prenda team part-time in 2026, even if my continued investigation into the space proves fruitful elsewhere. They seem like good people doing kingdom work.
