By the mid-2020s, parents faced an impossible choice: secular schools that prepared kids for a technological future but stripped away faith and meaning, or Christian schools that nurtured the soul but left students unprepared for an AI-driven economy.
Christofuture Schools was founded on a simple belief: you shouldn't have to choose.
Our Model
Morning: AI-Powered Core Academics (2 hours)
Students work with our proprietary adaptive AI tutor system. Personalized learning paths in math, reading, writing, and science. Our students consistently score in the top 10% on state assessments while spending half the time of traditional schools on core academics.
The AI handles information transfer. Humans handle formation.
Midday: Spiritual & Classical Enrichment (2 hours)
- Chapel & Devotionals - Daily worship, prayer, and encounter with the Holy Spirit
- Gifts of the Spirit Training - Students learn to operate in prophetic gifts, healing, and speaking in tongues under pastoral guidance
- Great Books Discussions - Augustine, Lewis, Chesterton, and Scripture. Learning to think deeply and articulate faith.
- Logic & Rhetoric - Classical tools for clear thinking and persuasive communication
Afternoon: Life Skills & Future-Building (2 hours)
- Applied AI Projects - Students build real AI tools and understand the technology shaping their world
- Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy - Business fundamentals, investing, stewardship
- Public Speaking & Leadership - Confidence to lead in any room
- Passion Projects & Apprenticeships - Real-world experience with local businesses and ministries

Our Story
December 2025 — Gary Sheng (Austin-based technologist) and Ida Villavicencio (San Antonio-based educator) discovered the Primer Fellowship application the day before the deadline. They applied that night. Primer, a next gen microschool network, had an open slot for San Antonio. Ida got in.
Early 2026 — Ida began the Primer Fellowship while Gary joined Primer as a part-time forward-deployed software engineer. Gary regularly visited the San Antonio area to help the Primer team iterate on their learning OS. Meanwhile, Ida worked through the fellowship curriculum: finding a church to host the microschool, recruiting initial families, and learning the Primer operational model.
Summer 2026 — In partnership with Tauren Wells (pastor and music artist at Whitestone Church in Austin), Gary and Ida ran Christofuture Camp, a four-week summer program. Brenda Gentry (technologist and entrepreneur, now board member) and Imani Gentry (educator, now head of K-2 in San Antonio) were pivotal in making the camp happen. Together they piloted the life skills and spiritual formation curriculum that would distinguish their microschool from standard Primer campuses. The results exceeded expectations. Major Christian benefactors, inspired by the camp, committed funding for the first two years.
Fall 2026 — Ida completed the Primer Fellowship, culminating in the launch of the first Christofuture School campus in San Antonio with 24 pilot students. Brenda and Imani Gentry were instrumental in getting the campus off the ground. The model worked. Primer's learning OS handled core academics. The Christofuture layer added Spirit-filled worship, classical enrichment, and applied AI projects. Kids thrived. Parents reported their children were growing spiritually in ways they'd never seen.
Fall 2027 — The success of Year One inspired two new campuses: North Austin (hosted at Tauren Wells' Whitestone Church) and Liberty, TX (hosted at Pastor Delmar Coward Jr.'s Encounter Church). The church-hosted model proved powerful. Facilities were available. Pastoral covering was built in. Trust was immediate.
Fall 2028 — Three more campuses opened in Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth.
Fall 2029 — Two more campuses launched in Waco and El Paso. Our first cohort of middle schoolers was now preparing for high school. Total: 8 campuses serving over 200 students.
Fall 2030 (Today) — We now serve 260 students across 8 campuses. Our original San Antonio cohort just became our high school sophomore class. We're watching kids who learned to code and step into gifts of the spirit at age 12 now elevate to high school with clarity, confidence, and calling.
