Hey Emma!

Hope you've been well. Just wanted to give you an update on all things Applied AI Society.

There's been a lot of action. First, some helpful context: I haven't signed a contract for the EIR role yet. He says it'll happen after the fundraise completes, which might be sometime after mid January.

That said, I'm still doing things that are relevant to Applied AI Society. I recently attended the AITX hackathon and did a lot of community building. Was very fortunate to have won the grand prize with my team, which put my name out there a bit. The organizers of the hackathon are excited about co-organizing an Applied AI Society event with me. We're currently looking at late January or beginning of February for that.

On the note of the hackathon, I'll actually be doing an NVIDIA livestream presenting my project on Friday during the time we were supposed to be syncing.

So overall, I'm wondering if it might just make sense to cancel the sync and have a sync in the beginning of January instead. Let me know, and based on that, I'll send an update to the Slack channel (or I'm happy for you to do that as well). I just wanted to give you an update first and get aligned before either of us sends a message to the broader group.
